Illustrator with origami swans

Thank you Tom for an insightful class! Looking forward to more... I thoroughly enjoyed it and really took the time to create my illustration.

Drawing the chair was fun because I used my son’s reading chair for reference. It just has this unusual shape. I eventually used the pattern on the seat for the artist’s sweater.

I like to leave room for interpretation in the final pieces and so the sketch is a suggestion and a place to start looking for more details and test ideas.

Illustrator with origami swans - image 6 - student projectI was not sure how I want to approach this, in what style, as I tried a few ways to make it work before realizing that maybe I don’t want to choose between them but rather find a way for all drawings to work together in a balanced piece.
