Hotel Bookings - student project

I analyzed the hotel booking based on the information given.

In my analysis I used pivotable and here is what I found.

How is the market divided?

In the segmentation of the market we can see most of the bookings are done as Online TA in H1 and H2, followed by Groups in H2 and Offline TA/TO in H1.

Where do the guests come from?

Mostly Portugal which are coming in group guests followed by Great Britain and France.

Which month has the highest cancelation bookings?

In H1 hotels the cancelations increase in the month of August with 1404 cancelations. In H2 hotels the cancelations increase in the month of May with 4069 cancelations.

 

Prediction of cancelations:

Observing the charts of cancelations seems like most of the cancelation during the months that bookings increases.
