Thanks for sharing your mix Bryan!Some feedback... - Try to monitor your volume levels and match your volume of both tracks so when the next track comes in its not too loud or too soft compared to the other track. - When mixing in your next track with hip hop clashing and overlapping vocals it is going to be tricky so I would recommend searching for tracks that have intros or produced intro edits to make your mixing cleaner. You can also loop the end of the chorus of the track your mixing out from and take out the mid frequencies of this track to get rid of the majority of the vocals to allow the vocals of the next track to come through cleaner. - With hip hop you might find it easier to use the claps, snares and high hats to judge the tempo of the tracks which might make your mixing more consistent opposed to listening to the kicks. - With your transition into Animals I would recommend starting with cue-ing the start of the plucks instead of the clock sounds, its easier to mix. Also make it easier on yourself, get the extended version. With EDM drops avoid using echo effects to heavily it clouds up the mix. - I don't know what you were trying to do with Day N Nite, the song has 15 seconds of intro which you can use to mix in while the Animals drop is playing. if you count your timing correctly you can get the vocals to start as Animals finishes. I would never recommend to mix out of a track into another while there is build up especially with EDM unless the dance floor is dead and is not vibing it. - Your best transition was drop it like its hot, what i would have done is instead of filtering out the track i would have just cut it. It was at the end of the verse and the chorus of the next track was coming in and would sound cleaner instead of filtering it out over time. - Overall I think where your struggling with in your transitions is when your pressing play and cue-ing your tracks. Remember to press play on the start of the 4 beat bar. Count to 4 in time with the tempo of the music in your head to help you with this. Obviously, making sure that both the tracks are at the same BPM is a given when doing this. Thanks for sharing, keep practicing and you will get really clean and flawless mixes.
