You have some great dry brush strokes on the tail feathers Carmen. The comb and the eyes are lovely too.

I have been working on some of my own projects lately. My kids seem to think I should sell some of my artwork, so to entice me, they came up with the idea of everyone in the family joining in on the fun!  Kids and grandkids who want to are working on projects to sell at some of the local arts and crafts fairs. It should be fun doing it as a family. My oldest daughter has now convinced me to try selling on Etsy. She refurbishes furniture to sell and wants me to try Etsy with her. She creates some beautiful pieces that sell pretty well, but I told her that art is a whole different ballgame. But I guess even if I sell a few things, it will be a fun experience with her, and then we can explore the other venture together as a whole family! Hope all is going great your way!  I’ve sure been missing a lot her on Skillshare and cannot even begin to catch up. :):):)

What sweet expressions, and each chicken has such a unique personality. Also the transition from the dark to light part of the tail feathers turned out fantastic. Your mother is going to love this so much!!

I think only you can see the problems, I always feel the same with my work, your eye goes straight to where the struggle was - but these are great, especially all those lovely bleeds. A few people have put ground in and it looks good, if the same "does it need ground" thought keeps popping into your head then do it.

Thanks Nadine. No grounding needed they have been caged in a frame for Xmas gift for my mother in the Caribbean.

Thanks Jennifer. I think will gift to my mom at Christmas. She has lots of chickens around her in the Caribbean. Not pretty white ones.

Beautiful Carmen! Well done!!I just finished this as well, added grounding and wish I hadn't ( although you would be 100 times better at it than I)! I like yours just as is! I love your markings and the strength of the color you achieved!

As usual some problems but happy with it. Not sure if I will add some grounding as yet!
No grounding...I decided to frame and they will be relocating to Saba Dutch Caribbean for a special Christmas gift!
