Here is one of the latest sign jobs for a local horse ranch for their annual Halloween party. 

Materials: 

Old 1"x6" fence boards and One Shot enamel paint.

Laid out sign design on drafting paper, and traced letters onto the board with transfer paper. Kind of like a carbon copy sheet used in printed receipts and invoices in the old days.

Cleaned up the letters with pencil on the board and brush-painted letters and illustrations.

Here are a couple of sign ideas I had when filming the lettering class. It's good to work on a small board to solve design puzzles.
