Good course!

What style presented the most challenges for you? "I found classical to be the most challenging. The technicality and discipline required for classical music, or the intricacies of production in electronic music, really pushed me to develop my skills in ways I hadn't imagined. There’s a lot of precision involved, and it often requires breaking down elements step-by-step to truly master it."

Did you come across any happy surprises while exploring new sounds? "Yes, definitely! One of the happiest surprises I found was how genres I didn’t expect to connect with had so much to offer. For example, I started experimenting with [insert unexpected genre] and found a whole new world of sounds that inspired my own work. Sometimes the sounds that seemed too far removed from my style ended up blending beautifully with what I was already doing."

How did new musical genres help you see your voice through a new lens? "Exploring new genres really opened up new ways of thinking about my voice and how I express myself. When I tried something different, like [insert genre], I had to adjust my technique, approach, and even the way I told stories through music. It challenged me to break out of my comfort zone and helped me understand the flexibility of my voice in ways I hadn’t thought of before."

Which musical style were you first drawn to and why? "I was first drawn to rock because it felt so alive and expressive. The energy and passion behind it really resonated with me. Whether it was the raw emotion in rock or the intricate improvisation in jazz, it was the way the music connected to my emotions and sparked my creativity that made me fall in love with it."
