Geometric Vector Illustration Project
This was my first time creating a pattern using only geometric shapes, which was actually VERY challenging for me to achieve for some reason. Using only triangles of the same size and shape, creating variety almost seemed impossible. After staring at the triangles for hours and experimenting with color and positioning, they still appeared as "just ordinary triangles." With guidance from other classes and YouTube, I decided to add a little texture.

While working on the piece above and nearly giving up, I started playing with the contour tool, leading to the creation of this piece.

I believe that crafting an attractive pattern using simple geometric shapes demands significant creativity and imagination, areas I need to further develop!
Because I was feeling so frustrated with the shapes and had an urge to "DRAW," I began illustrating animals on Procreate. One of these illustrations featured a lion. I found the lion to be a perfect motif to center my composition around. My intention was to create something reminiscent of tattoo art. Additionally, I became captivated by beautifully shaded cloud illustrations I came across on Pinterest, constructed using lines. I was instantly motivated to try creating clouds of a similar style.

Truthfully, I believe the piece I saw on Pinterest was much more stunning. (Unfortunately, I forgot to save it, so I have no way to compare. Haha)
The instructional video was well-presented and included numerous examples. While I did encounter challenges, I genuinely enjoyed both the lessons and projects. It was a lot of fun! A big thank you to Liz for yet another fantastic class!
