I wanted to plant a few planters for my front porch. Most of my front porch gets more than 6 hours of sun each day. There is some shade under the roof for a few shade plants. So, I went shopping primarily for plants that would thrive in full sun.

After finding this gorgeous grass, which can grow pretty tall, I knew I would need to use one of my taller planters. So, I made sure that planter had good drainage and prepped my soil for planting!

I referenced my plant guide checklist as I worked, and double-checked it to make sure I didn’t miss any key steps as I planted.

And now I get to enjoy my planter(s) all summer long. Hello, fresh inspiration!
