From India Ink to Digital Flowers: Playing with Variations

I wanted to see what other variations I could create with the digital vector pieces I created in the class. Everything in these images was created from the pieces in the course. The flower pot was a petal scaled up and the sides were erased. The background on the example on the right was a petal scaled up and recolored.

Below are posters I created with this same technique. Notice how I sometimes color the shapes white and use the negative space. All these elements were painted first in India ink and composited in Adobe Illustrator.

The trout in the Sausal Creek poster is several ink doodles combined to make the fish. You can see the fins overlap using the multiply blending mode as shown in the course.
