This is amazing! I love it so much. This is really the epitome of taking the ideas I put into the lessons and running with your own style and supplies! It came out so well. As Deborah mentioned, the petals are so lively and look so delicate and the window adds a nice context and the illusion of light. I could not imagine a better compliment than someone seeing my class and being inspired to just play and create with whatever makes colour and line and magic. Thank you so much for your lovely words and for inspiring me in return :)

Hi again, Lori, I just love that you are going ahead and taking classes with the supplies that you have. The longing to create is obviously really strong! The perspective on the flower petals is really good. It looks like you found some other media to color with or you got some watercolors!Thank you so much for liking my projects of Chris Carter’s classes. I have found her classes in watercolors to be a fantastic learning experience. I, too, hadn’t done any art in many years and never knew much about watercolors or how to mix colors. Coupled with the Jen Dixon course on getting to know brushes and doing exercises on how to make marks, I finally got what I needed to get creating!I hope you continue to play and be creative!Best wishes, Carol S
