Lovely gesture and contour drawings! Dont worry about misaligning the flowers. For contour drawing we are focusing more on looking at the details and it's hard to draw in this style AND get the proportions correct. Instead, contour drawing and gesture drawing are techniques you can use for different stages of a drawing, when you need them, and we can use separate proportion skills to get the measurements and alignment correct. In these specific exercises, you've done everything just right :)

Nice work! You've got a good sense of 3D form with each shape. Be careful about using too much blending for the sphere - a good exercise would be to draw a second one and see if you can get a similar effect just with simple shading, to practice shading control.That little touch of black at the base of each shapw is working really well to create weight and depth. Well done!

This second sphere shows excellent control of value and the pressure of your pencil without relying on blending. Great job with this one!!

Thanks for sharing your other exercises. Negative spaces look good. The upside down drawing is more suited for contour drawing/negative space drawing and I feel like you've moved into a more gestural method of drawing or perhaps gotten a bit frustrated with trying to see it up the right way? It is a challenging exercise as the only way to do it successfully is to let go of the fear of what you thing it will look like and try to see it just as lines not as a drawing of 'something'. The proportions drawing looks really good - nice, loose sketching marks and organic looking ellipses. Just one tip: Im not sure what pencil you are using but start with a very light pencil like a 2H or lighter and keep the pressure as light as possible. This proportion drawing is good as an exercise but if you were to it further into a finished drawing, you might find it hard to go over your lines. Using a very light pencil with very light pressure will mean you don't have to rub much out when you move to the next stage. Hope that makes sense!
