I did this all digital as I didn’t have the pastels but I followed the same processWhen I did the initial marks I saw a pair of lips and a head tilted down. I am new to drawing so still learning anatomy so I couldn’t do the drawing from my head but I looked for a photo I could use for reference that matched ‘what I saw.’ From there I followed the steps you laid out.
