Dots Galore! :)

Three mini pieces inspired by Yayoi's continual exploration of dots. :)

Yayoi Kusama inspired sleeping cat. :) I've been catching replays of the Summer Creative Retreat hosted by Peggy Dean (Pidgeon Letters) and there were several art workshops that incorporated cats so I figured a Kusama cat was in order. :)

Should I create more artist inspired cats for my other classes in this series?

Relaxing morning inspired by Kusama's colorful dots. I used paint pens then outlined with a fine liner.

Original project:

I love everything about Yayoi Kusama's artwork and had so much fun exploring both abstract and floral motifs in her style. I also loved creating a bit of depth in each artwork in different ways using found materials and upcycling egg cartons.
