First flower sketches and layout:

 I wanted to erase the background on this one and work from there but struggled a lot with Paintstorm (it crashed so much :( ), that i just decided to work with a background so I didn't have to deal with the cleaning of the icons (they have a lot of transparency). So I added a background and created the pattern from there, this was the final result:
