Designing Animal Characters
Hi!
I'm very excited about this course because I dream about becoming an illustrator once, so watching process of someone who can do such amazing drawings is an awesome opportunity to learn, thank you for the amazing lessons.
Here's my process
I studied and traced some photos to learn a bit about foxes, then tried to draw 'realistic' version.
When I was designing the character I noticed I prefer to kinda shape up the character with an eraser and get surprised with the shapes that come out, rather than plan what I wanna create... It helped a lot when I decided I want my fox to be cute and put him in the little scene.
I really want to learn to outline once, I never do that in my drawings and I find it super hard. But practice is the key, so I tried...
... and eventually decided to go without the outline ^^'
I created the silhouette in Illustrator, cause as the teacher mentioned, the pen tool is working more precisely there. Finally, I picked up a color palette and gave my little fox some life and a little friend.
Thanks for visiting my project page, and thank you, Teacher, for an amazing course!
