Wow, Noelia, you have a very beautiful style of painting. Your daffodils are perfectly executed. You have a great eye for color and tonal values and clearly you've mastered the technique. Your negative painting is beautifully controlled. The separation between the petals and the background is very clear, and the shapes read perfectly without looking cut out. I especially love the soft, luminous whites of the daffodil petals and the warm glow in the centers - those yellow-orange transitions are really convincing. The layered greens and violets in the background work extremely well. They create depth and movement while still keeping the flowers as the clear focal point. You handled the value contrasts with great sensitivity, which is exactly what makes negative painting successful. Beautiful work, and I’m so glad you enjoyed the process!

Colors: Quinacridone Red (Roman Szmal), French Ultramarine (RS), Nickel Azo Gold (RS), Autumn Green (RS), Green (White Nights), and Payne's Gray (Cotman)
