Thank you, Teela! You did it again! Another great class, I loved it!
The direction of the ending of the letters was a great tip, it made everything a lot easier.
So I didn't think too much, I just wanted to try it right away. I wrote two words that have been on my mind a lot lately. I forgot to photograph the initial process of the first one, but tried to register everything with the second one.
First, pencil. Then, outlines with a Pentel pen.
Then, the faux calligraphy, adding the thicker downstrokes.
And filling it in.
Then, erasing the pencil strokes.
I could not believe how easy it felt and I was surprised to be happy with the results so quickly.
The trickiest part was vectorizing them.
I scanned them:
Then, I used the pen tool to monoline them.
Then, I expanded the lines and worked on the thin and thick strokes. And that's where it got trickier and more laborious. But, yeah, I made it!
Added the foil patterns I've learned to make in Photoshop, in a previous class by our dear Teela:
It's not perfect but I'm pretty happy with how they come out!
