About our main Granny

I'm a mother and a proud grandmother who has always enjoyed creating things. I've tried my hand at cake decorating, knitting, crocheting, drawing, and painting, but I found a special love for sewing and quilting. These are two passions that I now combine with my love of fabric, to make beautiful things that bring joy to your home and life.

I prefer to express myself in a "local is lekker" manner. In my home studio, I create placemats, table runners, pot holders, trivets, and throw pillows/cushions with the help of my fellow grannies. We combine 100% cotton fabrics, denim and ShweShwe -a local South African fabric- to create our articles.

And now, I have created two classes for my fellow sewists. I use my over 40 years of experience in sewing and quilting to inspire others to create their own fantastic ARTicles.
