Fall is bittersweet for me. I love all the colors, the cool crisp air, layering clothes, and pulling out my favorite soup recipes. But it is all too short and I am filled with dread that winter will be here soon and I’ll be hibernating. So I really enjoyed painting these fall things in my sketchbook. During the dark, cold months I can look at my sketches and remember what’s it’s like to walk through the woods with the sun coming through the trees and the leaves crunching under my feet.
