Colored Pencil Doodles:

I'm finding that although I love working with colored pencils, I don't have a lot of time to get into large artwork right now. Even thought I could easily pick and put down a drawing as time permits, I need quick art wins. So I've started creating mini colored pencils doodles. :) It let's me play with color, value, blending and have some colored pencil fun but keeps it really chill and better fits my schedule right now.

Maybe this can become a doodle a day or a doodle a week project. :)

I love using colored pencils, building up color brightness and value. Here are three pieces I've created using the techniques in this class. The green and red ones were inspired by two glass vases I have and then I added abstract elements inspired by their designs and forms.

This third piece was built up by tracing circles, parts of circles, straight edges, and the rounded corners of my circle stencil template.
