This is my master study. Drawing this I realised the petals of the flowers were heart shaped. I liked to draw the leaves. It was to late before I realised that I had to use a textured brush for the details on the petals.

These sketches don't look like much, I just wanted to figure out how I was going to do the lettering. I barely have any experience so I don't think about it as Serif or San Serif. 

I'm currently inspired by Vikings and Norse mythology. I wanted it to look like a shield and chose a circle. 

I ended up going with the last lettering layout and started adding foliage and embellishments.

I incorporated the hearts but made them the entire flower instead of a petal. I like the leaves so I kept them as is.

I also incorporated a rune-bind that to portray Self Love.

 I used the original colors to create my own new color set that was a little more vibrant. The original was too pastel for me and I liked the color comp with the dark background.
