You did a good job with light and shadow. The light and shadow nuances are very well shown. Also, the cupcake has the right shape and proportions. As for markers, you can draw with what you have on hand, don't wait for the perfect stuff. And in that, you absolutely did the right thing. The only thing I would like to say is about the paper because I can see in the photo that the paper is very porous and looks even a little bit like watercolor paper. For markers, you need smoother paper. On that type of paper, they blend better, and smoother transitions are obtained with any markers. And such porous paper absorbs a lot of ink from markers, and they run out faster that way. P.S. I would really appreciate it if you would leave a review. I used the Touch Han fake Korean markers, sadly they are the only affordable ones that ship to my country.
