I chose to do a illustration of Charles Bradley the Screaming Eagle of Soul he was an artist with a voice I admired for years and I always wanted to make something after his passing.

A lot of Charles Bradley's song were about love for each other and the world and  believe the rose can represent just that general idea, his music also had a very old soul aesthetic quality so I wanted to incorporate records as well, my way of presenting these elements changed from my initial sketch and I decided to eliminate other elements I initially illustrated.
