Challenging…
This one was tough. For some reason, I really struggled with the clouds. I crashed and burned hard on the first painting. So it went to the trash bin. haha, I have painted it twice.
It just wasn't right, and I didn't want to waste the second painting, so I added deer laying down on the hills overlooking the valley. I’m going to try again tomorrow on some Arches paper. This was done on cheap practice paper. Cold-pressed paper with Paul Ruben paints.

Ok... I had to try it again because I was annoyed I couldn't get it... haha. My sunbeams are still a bit rough, but I feel I did better this time.
Thank you Maria for a fun challenging lesson. I may be back to try it again. Ha ha. This time I used a block of paper I already had so I didn't wet the back of it. I did notice a huge difference in how long I was able to work the paper with wet-on-wet techniques. Also thank you for explaining well transparent and opaque colors and how to mix them to get nice wispy clouds in the sky. This was Paul Ruben paints and cotton paper.
