Bunny for Mum

Inspired to add elements that lend to a vintage style, it was a pleasure to follow along Lisa Glanz and mirror her techniques at a classic and cute style. Using a limited, bright, light, and natural color palette, I stepped outside my comfort zone and went for a whimsical, yet realistic gray, girly bunny. She emulates a sweet childrens book character in the middle of heading home from her bakery after a long, early morning. Her name is Londoe Fog. She ran into her mum who felt this moment captured her essence wonderfully so they stopped for a quick chat and photo. <3

She's been a delight to create and I loved the advice Glanz offers to incorporate layers below with mulitply/color burn layers for shadows and particularly found this effective for adding texture to the sketch. I'm excited to pick up a different brush in the future to bend the weighted linework between angles and transform the final product in a soft way.

Thank You and I would love to read any and all comments on my work!!
