My name is FANISHA Terry,

I am 46 years old and a mother of 5. My first four children are 27, 24, 23, 20. Three of them have different fathers and I raised them as a single mom. I finally got married in 2014, but I married a narcissist and we recently separated, and the one child we have together just turned 5.

I started my blog in 2018 and I have been working on it off and on, but now I am ready to get serious and build my audience. I started writing my blog in part of all the reasons above, as well as to help me deal with major depression and anxiety. I am currently in therapy and my therapist helped me to understand where my issues lie. I want to help other women who have been in a similar situation to learn that they are not alone.  I am in my 40s and starting over in every way and that can be scary. I want to put a positive spin on it and even make it funny so we all can laugh our way through the madness.

My primary objective is to help women in their 40’s feel beautiful and confident with themselves. To encourage self-love and to know they can go through anything and still be on top. These are things I am currently working on myself. I can go in many directions with this, and I have not narrowed down exactly what I want to focus on, but I have a few ideas. For example, Major depression, Anxiety, Co-parenting, Parenting Struggles, starting over and raising a child in your 40’s. Marriage issues and struggles, Separation, Divorce, dating again in your 40’s, Fashion finding your look, Weight loss and fitness. The list could go on and on. I recently became a grandparent of twin girls, and I could share ideas on that.  I need to figure out a way to sum all that up into one subject.

My blog website is through Wix and it’s called Discoverlifeinmy40s. Discover Life In My 40s So far I have 34 blog posts, but through your class I realized that they were more focused and my own personal diary. After your class I now understand what I need to change. I need to create post for my readers and focus on their interests. I must write my blogs for my audience.

Through all the changes, I have discovered that writing is my passion, and I want to continue to do it. I am writing my first novel, but I must do that and work a full-time job. I am hoping writing will become my full-time job. This is another reason why I want to get my blog going so I can also add this to my current income, hopefully making it my main income one day.
