Oh My Gosh Elena, these are stunning.... I love the bleed you've got with the greens and the sgraffito in the flowers!... it looks like you found a way to use the bleach, or did you go for something else? May I share this on my Instagram page? Perhaps time to treat yourself to a tube of the Quin Lilac! :O)

Thank you so much! I did use bleach and played with proportions. Still not the same as it works on your painting but I hope that with practice it will come. I am going to try on hot pressed paper today and play more. I have noticed that Brusho pushes watercolour almost as good as bleach and it's so fun to watch!

Yes, Brusho is fantastic for that! Have you noticed it differs from paint to paint. For some reason when I mix Brusho Crimson and a little Violet and put Moss Green Brusho in the centre, it really pushes it out and leaves a ring sometimes if done on Hot Press. Love Brusho for that, unpredictable and glorious!

Thanks for persevering... you've got such gorgeous results Elena... I really love what you've done. It would make a fantastic surface pattern design if put into a repeat.

No, I didn't know that Brusho reacts differently depending on the colour. I have just tried it so I don't have any experience with it. I bought it a year ago, did swatches and that's it. Somehow with your class I tried quite a few things which I hardly used like Hot Pressed paper, Brusho, bleach, Brusho pastels. I started to paint with watercolours 1.5 years ago and haven't painted since school, which was very long time ago, so with most of things I still have little experience.
It is so generous of you to share your experience!

Art is all about sharing and community for me. I have a similar experience in that I only really started painting again in recent years, and before that I'd only dipped in and out of it since school. I just love experimenting and sharing my discoveries!!! So glad it's sparked something in you and you got to try different papers etc! I can't believe you've only been painting for 18 months! Are you creative in other ways? Often, I find, if someone has one creative output, even if it's working with creating ideas, it can inform other creative pursuits. You really have a lovely style :O)

I never thought about myself as a creative person. I like photography a lot, amateur level, just for fun.
It all started with watercolour, when I realised that I couldn't draw a simple mouse or a dog for my little boy and it was embarrassing. So I googled "how to draw" and it went from there. One thing leaded to another and lots of money spent on various art supplies (which I don't regret, haha) :)

It's amazing isn't it how we can discover our creativity sometimes through necessity! I'm thinking of you drawing for your son. And, you see, I knew you'd be creative in other ways too.... I love photography. I'm studying Hybrid photography, where you print out a photo and then add things to the physical photo like salt, earth, watercolour etc. It's really cool. But, I'm sure you're the same, too many ideas for the time or energy I have :O) and yes, art supplies are expensive! But the joy they bring.... totally worth it!! :O)

Wow, I didn't even know such thing like Hybrid Photography exists! I had a quick look at your other classes and they are totally new world for me. I hope I have more time to explore it all! So tempting... 
Reg. Instagram, haven't used it all with no posts and as you decided to tag me,  I thought, why not dedicate it to my new watercolour passion 

Nor did I until a few months ago!! It's a great idea, and I made a start, but I really need to focus otherwise I'd be trying to do all manner of things and not getting much done!! haha. Oh, brilliant... you're devoting your insta page solely to your watercolours! That'll be super cool :O)

I absolutely love this loose style, thanks a lot for this tutorial! It's great that so many techniques are covered in one lesson. Really enjoyed it and looking forward to do more. 
P. S. Tried on hot pressed and bleach worked better :) Overall, I found it easier to paint on hot pressed for this particular style. Thanks a lot for suggestion!
