I seem to have a talent for making different mistakes with each attempt!

I did many things better in the two monochrome studies, which were on the back of a failed Arches CP watercolor from my "drawer of shame" collection. I did the color study on a small 5x7 fabriano cp block.I am going to try to do my final version in a slightly larger format. 

 

Final UPDATE: I did a larger color version, I think the sky turned out ok. But I really need to work on my dry brush technique, and I totally botched where the waves meet the shore.
