Assignment #1: Fears and Interests

Assignment #1: Fears and Interests - student project

List of fears...

-- Nearly anything and everything...

- Will I never get as good as William Shakespeare at writing poetry? What...??? Not even if I were to practice all my life...

- Getting knocked out...(I wanted to be as good at boxing as was Mohammed Ali/but, most unfortunately, I quickly discovered that I was not anywhere near as strong as him; getting a really heavy punch to the head...makes one feel awfully 'dizzy'...like you just wanna sleep...if it ain't 'brain damage'...then, you might NOT even wake up, possibly?!) Boxing, I learned, in reality, can be a very 'dangerous' game...only the 'skilled' make it look easy; in reality, though, you gotta be tough to do boxing(and, frankly, I'm not...that's why I stopped, I guess).

- Don't like anybody overtaking me when I'm in a running race(which, in fact, nearly everybody does).

List of interests...

-- Nearly anything and everything

- Practising writing poetry...(so that I can get as good at it as was William Shakespeare).

- Practising boxing...(now, that I'm aged 61+ years old...I no longer try climbing into the ring...to go face people who are half my age...I started boxing really 'late' at age 48; discovered younger people have much 'faster' reflexes. Now-a-days, I do only 'shadow boxing', alone...; where you don't get hurt...as nobody hits you back; thanks be to dear God!)

- Want to win at doing running at the next Olympics...; though, I'm no Husain Bolt(...man, wot a name).  At 61 years old...I can no longer 'run like the wind' when I was younger; I sprint more like as 'slow' as a tortoise is...; well, everybody can and is fully entitled to 'dream' aren't they...?! In fact, I don't even run, anymore...due to experiencing severe Achilles Tendonitis in both foot heels(sore heels, leading to inflammation whenever you try too hard)...; and, therefore, now-a-days, I mostly tend to do 'skipping on the spot', instead. You don't need to jump up too high in order to go clear the skipping rope...which is only around 1/4 of an inch thick. 1/2/3 minutes long skipping...for me, that's good enough. At least, skipping gets the heart beating faster...; so, that just means, you are far less likely to have a sudden heart attack(I hope?).
