Another method
I want to fill a blocky, capital M with watercolor pencil roses on trellises. I'm trying out marking off the outline of the M with a stylus, which dents the heavy paper.
I've heard this isn't a good method where one plans to paint, because the watercolor puddles in the dents. But I thought that since I want to keep my roses inside the lines anyway, this would give me a nearly invisible border to work within.
So far, I only have a rough sketch of the actual design. When I have done a final drawing, I plan to transfer it with the DIY transfer paper method, using colors that match what I plan to paint so the transfer lines will truly disappear.
Thank you so much for this class.
