  I am a huge fan of using AI in my creative process. I honestly believe it gives people who may not be so artistically inclined (such as myself) a chance/way to express their artistic vision. 

 

I may not have understood the project but I did my best haha. 

 

the first prompt I used was “occult imagery collage”

 

I liked what midjourney came up with but it didn't look or represent the idea or aesthetic I wanted it to. I am not very good at graphic design or drawing. so I decided to add my human element by uploading pictures to midjourney to influence the prompt. I uploaded pictures by artists I like, pictures of certain types of color schemes I wanted, and also the original picture that was generated. I then modified the original prompt just a little bit to get more of what I wanted. I was very interested to see how midjourney was going to interpret my sense of style and influence.

the new prompt was

“occult imagery collage artwork, Japanese newspaper collage, psychedelic”

 

 

and BINGO!!! 

  this was sooooo much more me. I'm a huge fan of very avant-garde art and music. and I'm a huge fan of darker-toned subject matter, mixed with an almost cyberpunk/80s psychedelic color scheme and this nailed it.

 

I probably didn't do the project correctly haha. but I love what came out of it.
