I recently started a perfume business last year in my small town. Although I went on a hiatus in December, I plan to open for business soon. 

• Three practical changes I will make;

1) To assure customers to return any products they paid for and received but probably do not like or perhaps the product does not meet their expectations, however within a 24-hrs time period and product still authentic. For possible refund or change. This is from ideas 7, 9, 14, 20 and 27

2) To ensure maximum communication with customers (based on my preference as a customer, I do not like too much talks, but now I understand that I need to learn to adapt to different personalities as a business owner), payment received, payment pending, package dispatched, package received. Eventhough it might seem too much, communicating more is a sign of care. This is from ideas 16, 28 and 29

3) To ask for reviews and suggestions on how to be of better service after very sales year(used to be shy to ask). This is from idea 11

An idea of adopting from a different industry to my perfume business for instance;

• Banks would usually keep profiles of customers and wish them happy birthday on their birthdays. I have always found that sweet, caring and delightful. As a perfume business, having a profile on customers especially returning and loyal customers will definitely delight them and make them even more loyal. Send a thoughtful birthday message or if possible gift.

• On my birthday in 2022, I went out with a few friends to a restaurant. It was my first time going to this restaurant, and the restaurant had no idea it was my birthday. But one of my friends had sneaked to inform the nice manager. All of a sudden I saw the staff carrying a beautiful pink cake with candles and my friend approaching singing the happy birthday song. They did not have to since I was a first timer but they did. I must mention that they brought some other free meals and desserts after. LOL. It was an unforgettable experience.
