3D Framed Collage using Old Paintings (Sample Project)
This is my lovely drawer of old paintings - it's hard for me to part with projects I've worked hard on! I've collected these for the last several years and haven't known what to do with them. I picked my favorites and organized them into categories: composed pieces, old Skillshare projects, and individual painted pieces.
Once I organized them into groups, I used a pen to mark my favorite elements that I wanted to cut out. Cutting them all out was really tedious - and in hindsight I should have used a smaller pair of scissors!
I practiced laying out my new arrangement first, and then got to work by taping my individual pieces to the background layer (also an old painting). I used crafter's foam tape to give some of the pieces an elevated look - making it 3D. I love how it turned out! I popped it in a frame and hung it over my painting desk. It makes me smile every time I see it!
