I was keen to try out the Swallow tutorial so jumped right in. I didn't have Quin Deep Gold, so substituted a mix of Aussie Red Gold & Transparent Red Oxide. I feel like the wings look a bit stuck on where they join the body, I could've done better with that transition & had a bit more colour move up from the base into the wings in birds 1 & 2. Oh well, as I'm posting this I've got Jane's vioce ringing in my ears, give it a day - step back - revisit to see what tweaks to make...but feeling too impatient, so here it is and I'm pleased with the result. I mostly paint in my Etchr Perfect Sketchbook, A4 size, as I did with this piece. But as I can imagine this hanging beautifully in my office, I would definitely like to step out and try this again on a larger scale. I enjoyed this so much, and found it very relaxing. Thank you Jane for another great tutorial, you never fail to provide an inspiring class and new learning experience.
