This class was perfect for someone like me- an artist/mother of 3 young kids always working to fit art into the cracks of everyday life. Constantly on the move and working through task after never ending task it is sooo easy to forget to stop and celebrate everything I’ve done. This was a perfect way to step back and look at ALL THAT I’VE ACCOMPLISHED THIS YEAR.

 

I completed the class during the weekend of the 2024 winter solstice, which also happens to fall right before my birthday and the end of the year. This is a natural time of retrospection, introspection, and looking ahead for me and this class helped me organize my thoughts into a beautiful and inspiring little box!

 

I found the perfect sized box and covered it with my 2024 lunar phase calendar- a moon for each passed day of the year. I filled the box with pages from my sketchbook, my worksheets/letters to myself from the class, photos of big moments and art life from the year, and little mementos.

 

The class was broken up into short and easy to follow lessons. The videos were motivating and inspired me to get my materials out and get to work right away on my time capsule!
