good effort!  I would probably make the shadow side a little darker overall just to emphasise it a little more from the light, but overall you're getting the right ideas for the shadow gendering.  the leg in particular looks really good. Try to define the core shadow edge a little more too, especially in poses that have deep shadows and a clear division of light and shadow.  But overall good start here, did you have any questions about the class?
