Thank you for the class! it was fun and very inspiring :)

I tried a few different things... first, i will say that i used a clear packing tape that might have gotten wet and left to dry in the basement at some point... (unintentional, of course)... so the tape was not the best...

i used a catalog page and those images came out very nice! only problem was the tape - that was overlapped - did not stick together on the hummingbird. Weird.

next was an inexpensive coloring book page from a book from the Dollar Tree. I colored it half with Sharpie colored permanent markers with a high anticipation that the colors would transfer - they did not... also, after a few minutes in the water, the entire tape layer slid right off the coloring book paper (in two pieces as the overlapped tape again did not entirely stick to itself). it was only when i tried to pick up the coloring book page that it ripped...

the last two images are from a pizza box. Domino's Pizza - their pizza box "DREAMS of becoming another pizza box" and it is suggested to recycle the box to "make dreams come true" :) :) :)    I was super excited to get these words on packing tape! But, alas... i again blame the faulty tape as it also just slid off the cardboard only taking half the image with it. SO - while this one also did not work this time (i will try again with a new roll of tape next time i get pizza)  - i did discover that pizza boxes can be a lot of fun for mixed media projects in the future - the layers of the box come apart very easily after soaking in water a few minutes and you end up with the image paper, a crinkly cardboard paper and a nice brown paper :)

tried the pizza box again, with a new roll of clear packing tape... still did not entirely work.. the tape again just slid right off the paper only taking about half of the image.

Before soaking, I burnished the tape to the paper quite a bit! and while soaking, I burnished again and again. this did help a little, but not quite enough... maybe the pizza boxes absorb the grease in the air in the pizza kitchen which keeps the tape from sticking properly?  Also, where the paper actually stuck to the tape, when rubbing ever so gently, it rubbed the color right off the tape. oh well. Still, the pizza boxes have great potential as art supplies :)
