it felt quite freeing to just paint the flowers without doing a sketch first

my favourite figure that came out from the watercolor spots is the elephant on a skateboard

playing with painting bugs and butterflies

inspired by one of my favourite children picture books: Sophie's squash goes to school 

I found it a lot of fun to paint this loose landscape. I've started with a loose layer of watercolour and added details with watercolour pencil and tempera paint sticks over it. 

Maybe I've overworked the birds a little bit; I like their facial expressions though :-)
