Awesome practice project Paul!  My flower looks a little sad:)  Otherwise, I think things turned out ok.  I feel there could have been more blending in the skyline by bring down more color.

I used all the colors you used except I used New Gamboge color for the flower.  I didn't have Hanse yellow.  I tinted the New Gamboge with a little Quinacridone magenta.  I didn't have Phlo Blue so I used cerulean blue.

This was painted on Arches 140 lb cold press.  I love Arches and always ask for it during the holidays, birthdays and mother's day.  Otherwise, I use Baohong 140 lb cold press.  My brushes were Princeton Heritage rounds.  Liner and rigger are Aqua Elite Princeton.

The tape I use is Scotch Blue painters tape.  This is a good brand and I reuse the tape 3 to 4 times over before I havve to discard it.  That being said I always paint on a 9X12" sheet.

Addendum:  repainted and I think I like my first one better.  I overworked the second painting.  Though the meadow looks better.  What are your thoughts?
