I am so motivated by this 10-day challenge!

I have an ice cream attachment for my Kitchenaide mixer (for 2 years now!) that I have always wanted to try. I signed up to participate in the dumplings class, but while perusing through the other options yesterday, I got inspired by this class, and of course, the ice cream. It seems so simple, and I already had everything I needed to start.

I also had a bottle of very sweet dessert wine that was a free sample from a wine tasting. I mean VERY sweet. I always thought that it might make a good ice cream or dessert topping. I have been hanging on to that for at least a year as well. And Bam! The stars aligned and I knew I had to give this a try.

I didn't take pictures of the process; I was so worried about working fast enough. And I chose the Philadelphia style. But I would really love to try the custard, that one deserves chocolate I think.

My ice cream was very rich and tasty, but also a little on the icy side. I think the water content might be too much... add more cream?

Either way... I ate it. Yum!

Thank you Nicole for such clear instructions and pointers along the way.
