Thanks for the class - I haven't much used the pattern tool in illustrator and usually start with standard grid sizes, so this was a great subject for me! I will be playing with this tool more now, for sure!

I did have trouble making the artboard to fit my swatch, and I'm wondering if you have any tricks for that? When I pulled my swatch out I could see the pattern bounds, but as soon as I started making a rectangle they disappeared. I ended up recreating the pattern using my old math methods to make sure it was aligned properly.

 

Thanks again for sharing your methods! I really liked how you had fun and used your intuition to create!
