Nice layout Simon! You could try using a plant identifier app like Pl@ntNet or Seek by iNaturalist that identifies plants using your smartphone photos. Youtube has several videos where people rate the different apps.

It depends a bit what you want your sketchbook to be. If you prefer to only have drawings in it, that’s completely fine, a lot of artists do that and I often have pages like this too. There’s really no strict rule what to incorporate. You could add the date and the place to your sketches, or describe the plants (colors, textures) if you‘d like to research them later. I like the process of doing this, so that’s what I gravitate toward. Your sketchbook can be whatever you like it to be, a reflection of your interests and ideas. In any case, your sketches are really good, Simon, you are an excellent draftsman!

Actually, I think it's so so cool to write info about the plants. Is love to learn more about plants. Up to know I've mostly been drawing people..

I loved the class and all the layout ideas. Got out my sketchbook, drew some trees and flowers ... and got stuck. I want to incorporate writing, but don't know the names of any of the plants. Once in a while it might be funny to write "to research" or something, but not all the time. And treating the plants like decorations for a diary entry seems a bit iffy, too. So what do I do?
