I love shiny colorful gems, so you can imagine how much fun I had "polishing" these ones :D

It's almost magical how an oval becomes translucent and shiny with just a few changes. Like a friend told me some days ago, highlights can change everything!

 

 

I actually experimented also with charcoal pencil because I love the super blackness of charcoal. I think my favorite was the brown one that looks a bit like amber! Jessica's gem reminded me of wire-wrapped jewelry so I went with it :D I had issues with my white pencil, it's not that strong, so I think I should remove more watercolor from the start in order to keep my light areas lighter. Anyways, this was so satisfying!
