Writing Notebook

Here's a peek into my writing notebook, which I've been using as a daily(ish) journal already. While familiar with free-writing, I felt my writing practice lacked structure and purpose. Thank you, Whitney, for helping me reflect on why I love to write and to hone in on some techniques that can help take my writing further. :)

^ Here's one of the 5 pages I wrote about "something I loved" during the Pomodoro exercise. My journal writings are generally pretty surface-level, and I loved how using the 25 min timers helped me dig deeper into my subject. I took directions in my writing I didn't think I'd take. I also discovered more themes I love to write about!

One highlight was writing a bullet-point that umbrellas all of the others: I love writing about objects and the feelings they invoke! Whether that be nostalgia or a new sentiment, I absolutely find objects fascinating. Perhaps that's something I'll focus on more seriously in my new daily writing habit.
