Quirky lovley textuers, I like the variety of the greens you have here. As well as varying the actual colour - rmember that you can just use a little more water to achieve a softer feel. Here, all the values are similar, all the colours quite rich. Which implies the same richness of pigment used throughout. As Tamas has said you could use a complementary colour - though if you do this, and use the same amount of pigment you'll still have the same high value, high saturation - it will just be a little more neutralised.

Adding a touch of blue to the brick mixture would turn down its saturation making it less dominant. You'll be just fine by practice, Charlene. 🙂

Sketch done from a photo I took last year. Not satisfied with the color mixing of the lighter green. Also still struggling with color mixing for brick - this variation brings a lot of attention to the building - maybe more they a like, especially if I'm trying to focus on the greenery.
