Loved this class, so relaxing, because of the subject and the (limited) colour palette I guess.

Colours: Cobalt blue, Yellow ochre, Burnt sienna, Sap green, Quinacridone rose
Paper: Baohong, 300 gms, 100% cotton, cold pressed, grain fin

I have just started using this brand of paper, because it's reasonably priced, but so far I don't really like it. On the pad it says 'grain fin', but it feels more like rough paper, the paint doesn't spread nicely. The paper stays wet quite long though.

As usual I'm a bit too careful and the sky and water turned out a bit light. Afraid of using more/thicker paint and ruining it. I did not want to rewet it and put a second layer on it because it didn't how the paper would take it. A lot of dry brushing on the horse, so that's darker. Maybe I should have made som parts of the reflection a bit darker to balance out the horse?

I love the result and really enjoyed painting it, especially the reflection. I finally painted a horse that looks like a horse 😉 (thank you for the template Will and the class of course).
