White Wolf Capturing Wild Beauty

White Wolf Capturing Wild Beauty - student project

I’m so happy I finally had the chance to paint this beautiful creature with you, Will! Being away for three weeks gave me the opportunity to watch the tutorial twice before I started painting. I initially followed along, but eventually, I decided to work independently and referred back to segments as needed or desired. As always, the tutorial was packed with great information, and over time, I’m starting to retain it—lol!

This was actually my second attempt. During the first one, I had just started painting when the Arches paper buckled badly, creating a pool of water that I couldn’t fix. Rather than continuing, I decided to start over, which led to better results. Sometimes, I suspect that certain sheets of the paper don’t meet quality standards, as I’ve encountered entire pads with flaws. It’s disappointing, especially given how expensive Arches paper is. Has anyone else experienced this issue with the paper?

Thank you again for a fun day of painting! As usual, I was unsure if everything would come together, but in the end, I am pleased with the outcome. I decided to paint the eyes earlier this time, which helped me visualize the finished piece and encouraged me to complete it!  :):)

By the way, I noticed you’ve already released another class, which I’m excited to try in the future.
