Whispering Falls

Great class, Carrie! I can’t believe it took me so long to dive into your sessions. You are an amazing teacher, and I truly appreciate your guidance. I should have tried the cellophane on scrap paper first, as I wasn’t very successful with it. Instead, I opted for popped bubble wrap, which worked a bit better for me. It’s definitely worth experimenting with!

I followed every technique from your well-structured class and had a fantastic time painting with you today! I especially enjoyed painting the rocks. As much as I love painting them I usually struggle and get lost. Your techniques worked for me. YEAH!

I’m curious about your Bockingford Watercolor paper— is it 100% cotton? If so, what does the cover say? I happen to have some and decided to give it a try, but I’m not fond of it. It doesn’t seem to have much tooth, making it harder to keep wet, and there's not really anywhere for the paint to settle. Mine says “Bockingford NOT” and “St. Cuthberts Mill,” but it doesn’t mention that it’s 100% cotton. I suspect it’s not the same Bockingford that you use. I typically only use it for practice pieces, and while I had some success with it, I’ll keep it for practice only from now on.

Thanks again for offering such a well-guided class—so many people are sure to enjoy it!
