Welcome to DC | FINAL PROJECT
What's up everyone, my name is C.J. Treasure (ogseige) I'm 19 and I've been taking pictures for about a year now with a Canon EOS 60D. I never owned a DSLR until Christmas 2013, I usually borrowed cameras from friends which gave me a lot of practice over time. I live in Marlyand so I'm about 30 minutes away from the Nation's Capital which gives me the perfect oppurtunity to capture it!
The last couple of weeks have been very interesting an eventuful. As this class comes to an end I got the oppurtunity to explore an abandoned children's mental asylum and a hidden trainyard located in the heart of Washington DC. I even ended up at Thank You Fest which was an awesome concert, I'm not a big fan of Eletronic dance music but the overall vibe of the concert was perfect. For some reason concerts bring out a lot of emotion which gave me the chance to capture some awesome moments that will be cherished forever. If you ever visit Washington DC the first place you need to go is the National Gallery of Art located on 6th and Constitution Ave NW. This place is flat out beautiful, If you love art new or old this is the place you need to be, it'll be a great experience. Whenever I see a homeless person I usually give them money because they are less fortunate, I saw this lady outside of the metro station around K street and read her said and I immediately stopped and had a brief conversation with her and offered her all the money in my wallet, it wasn't much but she was very thankful for that and I feel good karma should be coming my way. I personally feel the portrait of the woman and the guy getting arrested is the epitome of "street photography" I hope you guys enjoy!
