Weightlessness

Weightlessness - student project

The water beneithe thew cliffs edge rippled with every rock she dropped. There was a slightest bit of satisfaction with the sound, and the weight being released.

He stepped up next to her.

Why are you just dropping them? He asked.

Because I dont think I can skip them from here.

He blinked and looked down again and laughed. He stepped off the edge and held out his hand to her as he hovered there.

There is more then one way to feel freedom from what grounds us.

And as soon as she grabbed his hand he let them fall. She closed her eyes knowing he would catch her if they were in danger. But for now she concentrated on the feeling of falling. The wind rushing past her face, the warmth of his hand, the way her heart seemed lodged in her mouth as gravity pulled her ever earthbound. But then he squeezed her hand, she oppened her eyes to see him smiling at her. Then with ease he reversed the course of their fall, they began to glide across, just above the water. She reached down to feel the cool lap of the water on her skin. Finally she let out a breath she hadnt thought she had been holding. She smiled back at him, wondering at how much the feeling of reliefe felt just like flying. and she couldn't help but laugh. they were flying. And maybe that was the trick. He was always calm. She was always down. there never seemed something to help her up. But now as she thought of it she wondered if his cool exterior was just the calm before the storm.

That felt good thank you for a wonderful class!
